Nowadays, we need to practise safe s.. …sanitization! (Got you there – thought I was going off-topic….didn’t you?  Ha,ha)

As we live in communities, we need to observe good hygiene in order to enjoy and continue to enjoy a good healthy lifestyle.

One good practise in any healthy lifestyle is to make sure we follow a few simple rules when we are out in public.  One of the most important rule to observe is to keep our hands from coming into contact with contaminated objects or surfaces in order to avoid any possible compromise to our state of health.  That’s impossible…..I can almost hear you retort indignantly! ………and you are absolutely correct.  It’s impossible to avoid all agents of possible compromises to our personal health but then, there are steps or measures which are within our power to undertake to mitigate any such nasty exposures.

Awareness is our first line of defence.  Being aware will enable us to exercise our faculty or commonsense to ensure we don’t fall victim to unintended consequences because once we are aware of or being made aware of issues, we can then determine our level of tolerance for the issue at hand and proceed to put into action procedures and processes to safeguard ourselves to the best of our abilities.

Since we cannot fully avoid coming into contact with objects or surfaces nor can we know if they were contaminated or otherwise, then, the next best approach would be to control our own actions to minimise any possible unforeseen exposure to any contaminated or infectious areas.

As our hands are almost always out of control….touching, feeling, rubbing, handling all sorts of matters, etc, etc, they will almost always be our weakest link in any effort to prevent contamination or infections getting into our healthy body.
